Your spiritual path is the way you choose to go about your own process of awakening. As different people make different career choices, so can you choose a different path to lead you to finding out who you really are and mastering the basics of the meta-intuitive arts.

Four paths

For the process that we offer in our Elfpath courses, you can choose to follow any of four spiritual paths:

  • Child

The latter three paths are identical to maiden, mother, crone in many mythologies, and to follower, ritualist and mystic in many religions. When you study these three archetypes, you will find that they are very distinct and that each of the three has a wholly different outlook on life and how to live it. The child path is slightly different from the other three but the same principles apply.

Choosing your path

You will not be given the choice of which of these paths you want to follow until your teacher deems you mature enough and ready to make such a choice. In no case will this be before Orange Belt, as you will need the advancement, awareness and skills of at least this level in order to make your choice wisely and in line with your purpose in this life. If you are not sure, you can spend some time studying the three archetypes, doing the inner work to learn which path is the one most in line with you you are, and make this choice when you are ready. Your master-teacher will check if you are making your choice in power and with integrity.

Student: Do I need to learn more about what a master is, or that's something I don't have to worry about then, at least not yet?

Rohaa: How can you decide which to pick if you don't understand the options? That's like saying "I don't want goesrsdballah!!" and having no idea that word actually means something much like "chocolate icecream with chocolate syrup and cherries". So you end up missing out on chocolate and cherries. Or you might miss out on dog turds... You don't know till you know what it is. Then you can make an educated choice. Do I want dog turds? Do I want chocolate? Alrighty then. There are types of beetles who love dog turds and live on it, and have no use for chocolate at all. Before you choose, you should know if you're a beetle or a human, or anything else, first. Or you wont know what you like. Hence don't pick until you're Orange Belt.

All of these four paths are equally valid, and none should be considered as more or less prestegious than another. Someone on a teacher path is not necessarily more advanced than someone on a student path, and someone who has started on the master path may be less skilled in awareness and understanding than someone on the teacher's path. They have simply made a different choice of how to learn and grow in this lifetime, based on their understanding of their self and their purpose in this life. Therefore, you can not "graduate" from a student path into a teachers, or from a teachers into a master. You can only choose one, mind, heart and guts, and stick to it during your entire process.

On each subsequent path, you are still always also following all the disciplines of the previous. If you choose to follow the path of the teacher, you always are also a student, and if you choose to follow the very tough path of the master, you remain still at all times a student, as well as a teacher. This is not optional.

The child path

(To be added)

The student path

The main concern of the student is to master the basics, to work to learn and understand the disciplines and practise them on a daily basis. When you run into a problem, you will handle it with the attitude of "What does this difficult situation have to teach me? What is it showing me about my process, and how does it help me to grow?" In other word, this path is about yourself and your internal progress. When a student gets stuck on these basics, they will go to their teacher or master for help or advice. This way, someone on the student path can learn and grow very quickly if they work hard and take their process seriously.

The teacher path

As a teacher, you will learn to see everyone you meet as your student. When you run into an issue, you hold the attitude of "How is this relevant for the students I am teaching? What does it teach me about the process itself? How can I use this to explain things better to others and make it a path others can follow?" You will think "I must have attracted this situation because I wanted to experience it for the sake of my students." When you are being taught yourself, you pay close attention to the contents of the material itself, so you can practise it and remember it enough to teach it to others later. At the same time, you pay even closer attention to your teacher or master. You can learn from their teaching style, and try to understand why they taught it that way and not another, how it affected the students, and what teaching methods they used. In other words, the teacher path is about helping others and learning about your own progress as you do it.

The master path

The masters path is the most difficult and at the same time the most simple of all three. This path is not for everyone. Most people will not want to even go near it, as it requires you to leave behind anything else in your life and make walking this path your first priority. More than having simply mastered the basics of the meta-intuitive arts, you have committed your entire life to being a wisdom master, someone who is willing to look past the limits of most people's reality, to ask all the questions but not believe anything. You must want nothing in your life as much as to be this, and you must be willing to sacrifice anything, including your sanity, to get it. You refuse to compromise on this desire.

If you choose this path, you will be pushed harder than any others, more will be expected of you, your teachers will not cuddle you or handhold you unless on very rare occasions. You will not be able to take anyone's word for anything, trust and rely on no one but your self, and in fact must question every aspect of your life, your previous experiences, and everything you hold true, all the time.

Consequences of your path

Your progression through the belt levels is in no way related to the path you have chosen. Everyne can learn to find their way back to their true Self and the purpose they have in this life, and everyone can learn to be capable and effective at the meta-intuitive arts. You will be taught in accordance to your chosen path, but the difference will be in the style in which you learn, not the speed at which you progress, nor the attention you get from your teachers, nor the tools you are given.

Anyone on a student path can make it to black belt, as can anyone on a teacher path or a master path. One is not faster or better than the other. People on the student path will still be expected to teach others. People on the masters path will still be required to do all the disciplines. By the time you make black belt, your knowledge, skills and understanding will all be similar regardless of your path.

The only exception are the belt levels after black belt. Only people who have chosen the master path can ever test for silver and gold belts. These levels signify that you have chosen to go far beyond mastering the basic disciplines of the meta-intuitive arts and are following the path of the mystic in the tradition of all the other great mystics and wisdom masters.

See Belt System for more information on the exact requirements for the different belt levels. Some requirements are intentionally not listed, as we are not a regular school and do not encourage you to try and "get the answers right".
